My recommendation because we have a very similar entrance area. Normal door with glass element and side panel with glass. Both as large as possible. Because: Unfortunately, this is only about “damage control“. With these two light strips and glass door living area, you won’t get the hallway/stairs bright/friendly. The upper floor is/is also becoming dark. We still have a light strip with 200x30 at the stairs (2x1/4).

Some light comes through glass doors from the kitchen and living room and a little bit of residual light from the upper floor. Otherwise, 5 ceiling spotlights turn on when it should be bright or in the evening a cozy side lamp. Apartment doors in multi-family houses usually also have no window elements and apartment hallways no daylight.
