...the fingerprint sensor also works on the frame, sash, or panel.

It's not really a gimmick, more of a convenient tool. We have a 10-year-old who sometimes forgets or loses her key; there's nothing better for children.

Additional costs approx. 1000 EUR...

I am familiar with the advantages, if I had the money, without a doubt. But the original post says "be careful with money," and such a gadget doesn’t fit there.

P.S. if the mention is supposed to work, you have to use the full name

Our "door builder" installed an automatic lock, eKey, KNX interface, reed contact, bolt contact, and LED handle lighting built into the door (I don't know the manufacturer right now). Total cost for the door: ~ 7000 EUR. We are very satisfied. Price/performance ratio is right.

Sorry

We are getting an SVP lock (self-locking anti-panic lock) with A-opener (motorized function) and fingerprint sensor and emergency power supply and with genuine RC3 at the front door!

Filling overlapping both sides of the leaf with transom.

Outside without cylinder opening and without handle, it doesn't get any simpler...

This is my version of a functional door...

A control for day/night operation is not necessarily required for the Fuhr lock. It always locks itself automatically and is equipped with an anti-panic lock. By the way, we use RFID for the opening mechanism. Professionally, I deal with various authentication methods of such access control systems. Honestly, fingerprint outdoors is a nightmare for me.

What does that have to do with the matter? The question was not "can I afford a motor lock?". Everyone sets priorities differently and everyone will probably indulge in at least a small luxury.

What I meant about day and night operation was different.

Door technology is very complex; I always question how the door is used during the day and at night; afterwards, I determine the required door technology.

There are customers who say they want this and that technology in the door, and when you ask what it should be able to do, it sometimes becomes amusing.

In the commercial sector, this is very important, especially when it comes to access control or monitoring.
