This is common here. After 3 pages, the information content is zero and the "experts" argue about who actually knows better.

It might be more sensible to point out the disadvantage of a mechanical locking mechanism to the OP, so that he can weigh whether this supposedly cheaper solution fits better into his budget?!

: In the end, of course, personal consultation always comes first, no question about it. I mainly just wanted to find out a few manufacturers in this regard so that I would even know where to get quotes from. Now I know that and, what’s even better, I also know approximately what kind of price tag is attached.

Going off on a tangent is actually usual with such specific questions, but that hasn’t made me any less wise. Personally, the functionality of the Innotherm doors described by would be completely sufficient for me, so once again, thanks for the tip.

And thanks also for all the other answers.

Regards,

Enrico

Hello Enrico,

through the "ramblings" false impressions arise -> just as happened with you now. The method used in our Innotherm door is already the highest quality method and therefore must "be completely sufficient."

An inferior version would be mechanical locking by the door falling shut into the lock. In this case, the swing bolts are basically pushed over and then fixed - however, the door does not close completely as with a motor locking system.

It is not as securely locked as a motor lock and does not pull the door 100% into the door frame.

It doesn't sound so great from the outside when opened electronically.

What you describe as inferior is what security glass RC3 meets in other locks, just by "knocking over"!

The advantage is no motor mechanism in the lock; where you see the inferiority remains your secret!

I have already understood, Innotherm installs the best locks in the world...
