I definitely wouldn’t plan the stove on the peninsula. The island further down provides a really good workspace. If it’s not possible to center the faucet so the windows open, use one with a bayonet lock. If you work with a pasta machine and co, let the countertop on the peninsula overhang a bit so you can secure it.

The idea of a U-shape and then on the right side facing the living room a few tall cabinets, I like that.
