1:3 appears slim but down-to-earth - the more, the more elegant; less is more down-to-earth. 1:1 is modern - if it is room-high = ultra-modern.

I think she’s not that far along yet and just wants a rough shell measurement to continue fiddling with the kitchen. Instead of throwing her a few simple tips, there are only dumb requests like “give me everything you have, even though you basically should already know everything.”

- if the floor plan was finished, she wouldn’t need a measurement...
- without a floor plan including windows, the kitchen planning can’t possibly be finished yet...

So: kitchen furniture is normally always 60 cm wide. In the end, you need a filler piece on the wall side, which is fiddled in during installation so that the appliances definitely fit. A typical floor-to-ceiling window that opens outward is about 80 cm wide. We don’t have such a window, so unfortunately I can’t give you an exact measurement there. The neighbors all have about such a window.

Tip: Ikea kitchen planner. As said, these cabinets, end elements, etc. are largely standardized. There you can roughly plan your kitchen, add the window, and you’ll know how long the wall must be. You can also go to the kitchen studio, but they rarely have paper with them there.

So nowadays there are kitchen cabinets from 30-110cm, so the "normal always 60cm wide" thing is absolutely not true, today a minimum of 80cm is actually recommended, just saying.

Good morning!
Right, we are still completely flexible. We would probably like a fixed window. We find that more aesthetically pleasing. There won’t be another one on the wall, and the others will all be openable. Fixed at 1m would probably look strange and would still have a door-like character! That’s why we have been thinking about the measurement for a while. There would also be space for over 1 meter, but we don’t want that.
Best regards
