Floor plan - Your opinions wanted!

Heating/technical equipment and washing machine are in the basement, exactly.

Our criterion for how this plan came about was that we ideally wanted a straight staircase; if it absolutely couldn't be otherwise, then a staircase with a landing and a single stair section as long as possible.

We are currently at the end of our ideas because the garage is also supposed to be attached to the house wall, and then we would cover the window in the bathroom/WC. The covered window in the living room doesn't matter to us.

What I do find, however, is that the dressing room in the bedroom is indeed too small and that's exactly where the problem comes in... We actually believe that the planned living space is too small for our needs.

I left the basement out because it is a lower priority.

The dressing room is not too small, it is just unfavorably shaped. This applies in several places; it is not a matter of space. Maybe the shape of the staircase should be made a bit lower priority. Elsewhere it would only be different; you don't need to improve its location.

The one smaller wall, where the doors on the left and right are supposed to hinge/open, should go anyway. [...] We don’t want those anyway, just as the wall will be shortened up to the start of the kitchen unit.

There I understand only slightly more than "train station" (i.e., very little).

I do not understand the initial situation at all, what is this dark room between the garage and the front door? The hallway is also completely dark, this does not work like that.

Exactly that bathroom/toilet is our problem if the garage is to be attached to the house.

I don't understand the entrance situation at all, what is this dark room between the garage and the front door? The hallway is also completely dark, that doesn't work.

This hallway should also go; we want to attach the garage to the house wall, which will then cover the window in the living room (which is not that bad), but it will also block the window in the bathroom.
