That is correct, a child is being planned for. Then I assume that the architect simply named the room according to the standard and you don't have a child at all, correct?
It will be executed in timber frame construction...the dimensions of the wall openings look like solid construction (except for the room doors)...
You are absolutely right, of course it is difficult to park a car in front of the garage like this. The background is the specified building envelope. When we received these plans, it was not yet decided whether an overbuilding of the building envelope would be approved. Therefore, it was planned somewhat "space-saving" here. Only small tasks are to be done at the workbench, nothing for which I would need several meters of space. If needed, the cars just have to be moved out during this time.I find the 3m distance of the garage neither fish nor fowl. Either 5m distance so visitors can park in front of the garage or the garage completely at the corner. My favorite is the 5m.
What work is supposed to be done at the workbench in the garage? With an interior length of about 6.4m and a car of 4.7m (e.g., Audi A4 Avant) + some tolerance between car and gate, not much space remains.
I will definitely add that soon. The blue dashed lines are the specified building envelope. Originally, the ridge direction in the development plan was specified rotated by 90 degrees. But this makes no sense regarding the orientation of this plot. The approval to rotate the ridge direction, as in our plan, is not a problem. That is why the house extends beyond the building envelope. The questionnaire regarding the development plan is only very incompletely filled out. Maybe you should submit a plan here for quality improvement of the answers. Height information would also be good.
What do the blue dashed lines in the ground floor plan mean?
We proudly shower with the door open.We usually have the discussion reversed here, that with a second door locking is feared. Who showers with the bathroom door open???
Thanks for the hint. If you have a similar setup, how large is the distance from the entrance area to the beginning of the kitchen at your place? The location of the tub is unsuitable for relaxing: window and two doors are 3 points too many. Cloakroom must be bigger and out of the view from the kitchen. We have a similar setup but a longer hallway. Storage space in the kitchen is way too little.
Regarding the parapet height. Honestly, we haven't really noticed that yet and I can't tell you whether it is measured from the raw floor or from the top edge of the finished floor. We will clarify that soon, because the window position is very important to us. Unfortunately, we haven't discussed exact measurements with the architect, only approximate info and showed a few pictures of what we like.
Thanks for your honest feedback so far, it supports and helps us very well on some points.
Oh yes, since we are on vacation now for two weeks, I will only get back to you afterwards.
