I still find the style of the building facade appealing. If you like it, don't let anyone deter you. It has to please you. I also like the children's/bedrooms facing south, but shading must be considered here. Possibly think about cooling using [BKA]?

You have an architect after all. Discuss your concerns and wishes with him, then he will also plan YOUR house for you. Ideally, he is not only a visionary but also ensures that the house works for 5 people.

I still view the small children's bathroom, the small hallway on the ground floor, and the kitchen area as critical; it could get tight there. But all of that can be resolved without planning a completely different house.

Congratulations on the great plot of land

Raffstores are planned everywhere. I think they are great on the ground floor and in the bathroom, but in the bedroom I like it really dark. We have to think about what to do there. Raffstores look better and I would prefer them everywhere but not if light comes in the morning. The architect suggested air conditioning, but anyway because something like that is expected in this price range by buyers. But if we only need it in 25 years, I don’t find that so critical. Personally, I am not a fan of AC. We always ventilate with a draft early in the morning and before going to bed, and when it's hot we partially lower the raffstores/rollos. That’s what people in southern countries do and it works fine. The question is whether that will still be enough with all the glass surfaces, although the trees provide a lot of shade too.
