Hello everyone,
I came across this forum and would like to share my floor plan with you.
To briefly explain my construction project and myself: I am 28 years old, currently single, and no children are planned. It will be a bungalow because I simply like them and find them cozy. My budget of €330,000 is fully used. Therefore, I am initially foregoing a carport, a garden/tool shed, or landscaping the garden.
A carport will follow later and will be placed to the right of the house.
I look forward to ideas or suggestions for improvement.
Please forgive my scribbles; I do not yet have a floor plan from the architect based on this version.

Development plan/restrictions
Size of the plot: 736 sqm
Slope: no, approx. 40 cm difference in height on the plot
Floor area ratio: 0.3
Plot ratio: 0.6
Building envelope: not specified
Edge development: possible if without windows
Number of parking spaces: 1 parking space in front of the house + later a double carport
Number of floors: 1, bungalow
Roof type: hipped roof 25 degrees
Style: modern
Orientation: north see picture, house front should be parallel to the street
Maximum height/limits: eaves height max 5 meters
Other specifications: none

Requirements of the builders
Style: modern
Roof type: flat hipped roof
Building type: bungalow
Basement: no
Floors: 1
Number of persons: 1, age: 28
Room requirement on ground floor, upper floor: not less than 100 sqm
Office: family use or home office? No office planned
Sleeping guests per year: few to none
Open or closed architecture: closed
Conservative or modern construction: rather modern
Open kitchen, cooking island: open as U-shaped
Number of dining seats: 4
Fireplace: no
Music/stereo wall: no
Balcony, roof terrace: no
Garage, carport: double carport follows later
Utility garden: no

House design
Who designed it: mostly me
What do you particularly like? Why?
The overall layout; I thought a lot about it and put a lot of thought into it
What do you not like? Why?
I am somewhat afraid that it could be too small if a partner joins (children are not planned)
Price estimate according to architect/planner: €243,000 technically completed, solid construction
Personal price limit for the house, including equipment: the budget is fully used overall
Preferred heating technology: air-water heat pump without ventilation system

If you have to give up,...:
I believe I am already giving up everything unnecessary :D

Why did the design turn out the way it is now?
The design is based on the budget. This is the maximum that could be achieved. That is also why, for example, the carport comes later.

I have just planned a similar floor plan. However, in my case, the wall from the entrance to the kitchen is not there because I absolutely do not want to always have to go through the living room to get to the kitchen. I would then make the utility room a bit smaller and definitely plan a guest toilet directly at the entrance. Even if there are just two people (and maybe the desire to have children will change), I find a second toilet indispensable.

I thought about the guest WC for a long time. But the size of the utility room is more important to me. A lot goes in there: washing machine, heating, utility sink, yellow bag, paper waste, freezer, beverage crates, etc. I don't have a pantry, no basement, and the attic won't really be used (truss roof and not insulated).
The door to the kitchen was there at first, but it was then closed off. Otherwise, it's too open for me. We visited several show homes and the open connection to the kitchen always bothered me there.

Hello Congratulations on the plan and the floor plan, you have too little storage space and I find a guest toilet very important. No basement, no attic, that's where suitcases, terrace cushions, skateboard end up under the bed. Where is the terrace planned?

Thank you. The utility room is now just under 14 sqm, I guess I can't make it much bigger. I have already extended the house by half a meter. The terrace will be next to the dining room/kitchen, it will be paved and later covered.

Utility room smaller, to the necessary size about 8m2, since the equipment inside generates heat, it is too warm for storing food, storage room with a window that can be tilted to 6m2 and your drink is not lukewarm
