Thank you very much for the comment "The shower in that spot just doesn’t work," after thinking about it again, it really is not good. Now we might have found another solution if we move the shower completely to the back, like in this picture?!

Our technical room now has 12m2 and do you know how much space is left to put a cabinet? Uh, let me count: 1 small sideboard - yes, there is no more space. No wall cabinet, nothing. Pipes, cables, wiring everywhere. The more space the equipment has available, the more space they also need to make their connections.

Yes, I also had the idea to move the shower to the back. I think it's a pretty good solution. I like it.

Man, I just wrote a long text and now it’s gone. What kind of heating are you getting? Heat pump, ventilation system? Would it possibly be an option to reduce the kitchen size a bit? Then you could place the toilet on the kitchen side and add the current toilet to the utility room. This way you would also have natural light and a ventilation option. In a room where the washing machine is located, this would be advantageous.

That would still be an option, but the question is whether the kitchen wouldn’t become too small. Because on the left side in the kitchen, a storage cabinet is planned, which is instead of a pantry, and you somehow do need something like that. But it is worth considering. We are planning an air-water heat pump with ventilation system and heat recovery (Kfw 40 house). Ventilation is therefore overrated, of course the few square meters would bring a bit more space in the technical room.

The dressing area is extremely impractical because the person lying by the door always has to go completely around the bed twice and will almost always directly wake their partner. Overall, I think the total area wastes too much space. You could very likely save 20-30sqm without losing any function or usable space.
