Dementia is not an age "privilege" and does not have to affect someone only when their partner is frail due to old age.

A universally prophylactic I must never get out alive house is never perfectly plannable, residual risk resistance has not yet been invented.

So I will not go into the illness further here, but for us it remains without stairs. Yes, because of thresholds and so on, we will come back to that later. Showers, for example, are already without thresholds and doors etc. Regarding storage space... our kitchen is big enough to still pack everything in there. Concerning the appliances, we had planned a utility room outside by the carport, but that is still open. I think we were at around €100,000 for the ancillary building costs. So we have already received a few estimated prices for the house and they were not higher than €220,000. Therefore, we assume that it would be doable for us.

Sorry, but an 11m² kitchen is neither excessively huge nor does it replace the storage space you need elsewhere. How do you live now? In an apartment? With a basement? Cluttered bedrooms / study rooms? The 220k offers are all well and good, but there's still quite a bit more to come, just read up a bit here. I don't even see the carport in the budget. As I said, too many 'oh that would be nice' things are realized here without focusing on the essentials.

I assume the property will be included, otherwise it would not be in any proportion to the rest of the construction costs. Now the question would be what the property costs and what is left for the rest.

We now live in an apartment with a cellar, yes. However, only the bicycles and decorative items are there, which would definitely also fit in the utility room, as it is not much and will not increase significantly. We have definitely taken into account all the costs that are necessary for us. There will be no problems with that.
