The house simply has practically no storage space at all. The attic with a pull-down ladder doesn’t count, since you only go up there four times a year. With that budget, you need to plan much more pragmatically. The second entrance, second dining area, and children's bathroom must go; instead, a proper staircase to the attic or a proper storage room behind the carport has to be built. A walk-in closet is also, in my opinion, rather pointless and a waste of space—get rid of it—and combine the utility room and bedroom. As it is, it’s neither practical nor within your budget. Is there really no financial leeway at all?

Especially when it comes to finances, it is important to keep an eye on [Baunebenkosten], as these can vary in amount. How much have you planned for them?

At the entry and exit only if the parking positions are sufficiently spaced apart.

For example, with demented users, this option is sometimes desirable.

Dementia and physical limitations hardly anyone manages at home, especially since the partner is no longer a fresh 20. One must consider in advance under what conditions one wants to stay living in their house. And also think it through to the end. Having a bedroom downstairs is not enough.

I am absolutely on haydee's side. That requires more. For example, it only works with an elevator, a secondary apartment for nursing staff, wheelchair width everywhere, accessible bathrooms, etc. The similarly aged partner cannot afford that, especially since it is unclear whether he still exists or left earlier (fled or died). With your budget, you shouldn’t have to worry about that.

You can do a lot or stay at home for a long time. Not everyone with dementia ends up in a wheelchair. It requires a mix of barrier-free (e.g. no thresholds), aids like walker-friendly (turning circle), and senior-friendly, e.g. everything high including the sockets.
