Here is another suggestion for the upper floor with the following advantages from my point of view:
- Dressing room as a buffer between child’s room and bedroom
- More space for dressing room/bedroom
- More space for the bathroom, larger shower and cupboard possible
- More pleasing layout of the rooms, especially for child 2
- Stairs do not have to be built over by 2 steps, which could be tight anyway.
Possibly enlarge the balcony so that you also have access from the dressing room, for laundry, hanging out bed linens.
On the ground floor you would have to move the window in the living room if you want it to be one above the other. I don’t really like the sofa position anyway.... That will probably be a bit tight and uncomfortable.
