... then the evening sun is at the back. Sorry, but 3D is not helpful if the 2D plan of the property with buildings is missing. I would probably swap the kitchen with the living room. I find it more sensible to use the yard for grilling in the evening.

Me again :D Sorry, but for me the images and comments somehow always jump away. Now, for example, I only see the overview with the north arrow.

Why do many plan the sauna in the basement without natural light? Where have you planned the terrace? What does the energy consultant/architect say about the shading in the west? Not unproblematic with the passive house. How high is your budget?

Thank you for your answers, the criticism, and the suggestions.

Yes, we will also reconsider swapping the living room and kitchen. But then it would be more of a walk-through kitchen, and I am not sure if that works well. Do you have any experience on how to solve this effectively?

For the sauna, I don’t necessarily need daylight, but I understand the objection. I’m not 100% satisfied with it either, but the room is rather planned with the motto, better than no sauna at all. I also don’t want light shafts in the back garden. It’s always a compromise somewhere, and we are still looking for the optimal way.

The terrace should be in front of the house; behind the house, probably in the garden, there will be a small area for a small table and garden chairs.

I hope that shading in the southwest will be sufficient with [Raffstore].

Basically, of course, next week, when our architect is back, we will continue planning with him.

He is good and will certainly bring us closer to our best possible compromise based on the design, with our now more concrete ideas and a bit more time.

We will also continue the budget discussion with him; I didn’t want to do that here. He has already given us the budget corridor we need to stick to.

Thanks again for your time and all the feedback, and feel free to give further criticism.

Wishing you all a good time and health.

Then the atrium is disturbing. It reduces the terrace size. Kitchen to terrace would then fit.

Sauna could be attached to the bathroom.

Look around in the [Finanzierungsbereich]. Often builders are given prices that are too low.
