Tips for sauna in the basement & tips for gym in the basement

Hmm, okay. Then I guess I have to reconsider the whole concept. I am really just at the very beginning of the house construction - and a little digression - the decision for the decentralized ventilation system is so far only based on the limited knowledge I have from my circle of friends. For example, one person who recently built told me that the central ventilation system has to run all the time because of mold and bacteria, or else it can mold. But I’m happy to be convinced otherwise :)

Regarding the sauna and fitness: ok, understood. What you say about the size and fire hazard makes sense. Another option would be to make the fitness area in the basement larger and move the sauna to the garden (that was another idea anyway). That’s probably better for fire hazard / escape routes too. I guess I need to think it over again :p

So I am sure you can definitely build something with a sauna and a bit of fitness in the basement on a smaller scale. It depends on how you set it up. But I totally agree with if you set it up like it sounded at the beginning, then it must be worth a lot to you. And therefore I also warmly recommend to take up the suggestion to present your project and not to put the cart before the horse. It simply doesn’t help. The developments are so enormous, and the dimensions in house construction are very hard to imagine if you haven't had more points of contact before. It was no different for me. I also had all sorts of ideas at first about what would be great and what could be done. Some of it was actually implemented, other things fell victim to the budget in a way I couldn’t have imagined at the beginning.
