Well, if only we knew whether the north or south half, since you want to share that. More importantly ... access from the west, so left on the plan? And why are you torn back and forth? What convinces you, what doubts do you have? You also have to share a bit of your own opinion, then advice fits better afterwards.

Absolutely right, sorry. I will continue to explain what our thoughts are. I’m usually a bit pressed for time because I don’t want to bore anyone, but you are absolutely right...

The access is on the right in the above sketch, so to the east. The plan on the left is west and the garden. On the ground floor, we are planning 14 meters long and from the 1st floor 12 meters. The children’s rooms should face the garden and the parents’ bedroom towards the street.

This is not yet taken into account on the 1st floor plan.

Regarding the wishes and the back and forth of thoughts :-) We would like a study/guest room on the ground floor. We simply think it is more charming when you have visitors and they don’t have to go over “our” 1st floor to the attic or into the basement. Even if you yourself are not so fit someday, this offers a good solution. On the other hand, this room of course takes space away from the actual living area, meaning the kitchen and the living room. Unfortunately, the house is only 6.5 meters wide and so we are somewhat limited in this regard. We are currently trying to get the maximum out of the ground floor and the 1st floor. On the 1st floor, we think it fits quite well. Children’s rooms are not too small... Parents’ including dressing room is almost too large but okay and only the bathroom is a bit too small. I keep moving the rooms on the ground floor back and forth but can’t find THE solution which will of course be very difficult. I just thought maybe a few people could take a look and share what they think of this floor plan, where they see disadvantages or even improvements...

I’m available at all times for discussions on my part :-) and am grateful for any help...

I tried using a kolo 3D furnishing program last night... it should be furnished something like this... however, we are still really not 100% happy but also don't know what could be moved how

I don't find the floor plan that great. With a width of 6.50, you have to adapt and, for example, give the room opposite more depth by using a slim staircase. Then a rectangle as a room for dining and living is easier to zone.
Best regards
