:-) Thanks for your input. That at least matches our feeling. We were told this staircase takes up the least amount of space... could you quickly sketch an example of what you have in mind without paying attention to measurements?

I once lived in a terraced house with a basement. The house worked. However, there was only a small windbreak, the rest was open. In this respect, your input would be needed for the planning, whether you want the kitchen open or closed, possibly the living room separate, whether the stairs to the upper floor are allowed to go from the open plan area or not. Etc.

Hi...

Well, basically we are very open. The kitchen may and can definitely be open... The staircase can also be straight, the problem we saw here was that it gets tight upstairs because we only have 12 meters of length available here, but if there were alternatives here... We are really open and would find it incredibly helpful and great to simply see a different approach, one that looks less like a labyrinth...
