Yes, unfortunately. With the double garage, you get the character of a dark terraced house and a rather "manageable" garden. So if it were my plot and house, I would park my two cars on the area marked as yard and set up a garden shed somewhere. Then you would have the entire southeast side free and a great bright house with a garden on the side that's at least 6.5 meters wide! The only downside: the cars will get wet, but they handle that well ;) . For ice, there is a parking heater, which is cheaper than the double garage. Just a thought :pI only have concerns that the dining area and kitchen will lose too much light because of this. Due to the boundary development and the adjoining garage, there are no more windows than shown in the sketch.
