I am already in the process of drawing a floor plan to dissect. I just wanted to clarify first where the garage is going to be because the room layout depends on that. I drew the foundation slab in that size because it just fits the set-back distance from the boundary, and then we have more garden towards the front. That's why the foundation slab is a bit longer than it is wide.

Think about how you want to live or use the garden. Can you imagine two areas? Or just one? Afterwards, the entrance situation can be narrowed down a bit. Can you still use the bulge of the property at the front for other purposes? And: where is the driveway lowering now? As far as I know, it is difficult to have it moved. And check whether the garage is even allowed to be built outside the building line within the first 5 meters at the front.

I would approach it the other way around. Most house residents spend more time inside the house than outside. I would go through several options. If the double garage is in front of the house, I would place it more southeast rather than southwest. Another consideration would be to put a single garage on the east boundary and only a parking space or carport on the west boundary.

The front door located sideways behind a double garage must also be found first by the parcel delivery person, so it shouldn’t be arranged too hidden. I would probably place the entrance on the east side or at the eastern end of the south side.

The tail is wagging the dog here, in my opinion, those are sick priorities.

We could imagine two areas but we would need one garden area large enough to accommodate a play tower, swing, slide, or something similar. For what purposes should we use the bulge? We thought if the driveway goes there, then we would make parking spaces there as well. If the driveway is on the other side, then having parking spaces there is inconvenient because then we lose more garden space again.

What driveway lowering? There is no lowering on the property? Three meters must remain free from the street to the garage. My husband only marked about six meters so that cars can also park in front of it.

We have two small children, so we do spend quite a lot of time outside. The point about the parcel delivery person is a good one; I hadn't thought about that at all. A single garage would be enough for us; we only chose the double garage because it fits the space and my mom thinks that you absolutely need a double garage.
