Maybe something like a sliding mechanism upwards as in England… A stove requires much more space than its footprint. In a small house, it easily takes up 20-30% of the living area. I also estimate that it will be difficult to accommodate both given the space conditions... The window seat is set, and there are no compromises on that.And I want to differentiate it for myself: absolutely, I also find it good – but relatively, I find it even better to tailor wishes to the house size. With a standard instead-of-villa only slightly enlarged as the basic type, I already consider a separate dressing room borderline; between a window seat and a fireplace, however, a clear either-or decision is necessary. Since everyone here already knows that I – hopefully kinder than – don’t make a murderous pit out of my heart, I freely and openly signal with the fence post: if your darling is smart, she will choose the window seat. After all, it is the more likeable “actually overdressed for the house size” feature of the two.
