We did (with the last house). It was also necessary since we needed three children's rooms, a children's bathroom, and two offices. It was a slim 300 sqm house.

Definitely!

Conventional is also with an architect.

I’ll skip the attic.

I am a happy tenant and only advise other people in planning; I took over my business with an existing building. But yes, it is my firm conviction that the architect is best given two degrees of freedom: a "free architect" in the sense of not being employed by or chartered with a general contractor; and not being burdened by the builders with the "conversion" of mixed salads of do-it-yourself designs and internet pictures instead of being commissioned.

Planning with a free architect IS "conventional" though? – proven old school can hardly be better!

Oh, then you probably still don’t understand: patterns from OTHER PEOPLE'S bespoke suits just don't fit you any better than a catalog off-the-rack model. The advantages of architect plans aren't visible in pictures, except "You see that you see nothing"; they don't have a red Louboutin sole or anything ;-) [wrong! – like the second! – THAT is quality!]

Then you can't receive any either, and your request is pointless if you don't provide your address: either mention it under "Information" in your profile or write it here while the desired communication partner is also online here (the latter is important because you can only delete it again for a limited time - as far as I know within ten minutes).

Who can’t send any, can’t receive any either.

The example only helps to a limited extent here, of course, because not all requirements are covered in these two floors. Would the original poster also want/accept an attic?

From the floor plan by , I take away positively that the staircase with landing and the approximately 1.70 m width in the hallway is a good way to bring natural light into the hallway on the upper floor (even though, as mentioned, this is not a must for us). We would like to avoid an attic; currently, with a basement, we have four floors, which is not optimal. We actually wanted a bungalow, but especially the issue of earth excavation and disposal is a disaster; our hallways would also have become very long. We favor the concrete ceiling above the upper floor and would prefer not to have additional living space above it (even though I am aware that there are companies that do not build solid roofs from wood).
