Well, only that when the design comes back from the structural engineer, the price tag will look like someone added the VAT twice ;-)

Yes, there are computer representations that I just cannot post because of copyright. However, it should not be a problem to quickly simulate different angle degrees with the computer. We will certainly ask for comparative representations with 23°, 30°, and 35°, then the decision will be made quickly. We quite like the flatter roof.

It was exactly about what explained. Another form, more homely, more pleasing. You can probably browse through tons of catalogs; there will likely be no prefab house that fits your non-standard requirements.

We currently live in a similarly sized house with a 25-degree roof pitch. Personally, I consider that the limit of aesthetics. Steeper roofs immediately look like a typical coffee grinder house, and I really don’t like that. Besides, the steeper roof won’t benefit you much if you don’t want to convert the attic.

It only looks like a coffee grinder if the house has a cubic shape. Then it is also the common city villa. With a ridge height of 6 m and a length of 12 m, it’s a box that could also be the office building of a medium-sized company.

In another thread, someone had planned the kitchen similarly to Schwörerhaus, and there was criticism that odors from the kitchen would then spread to the upper floor. Architects also express negative opinions about enclosed rooms, which would be the case here in the guest room, connected right above the living room. I do have the impression that "coziness" and "usability" do not follow any objective scale but are indeed subjective.

Corners, different facade materials, etc. absolutely help to make the house more exciting and interesting. However, this also leads to additional costs and thus to the conflict between "beautiful" and "economical."
