Floor plan design and placement - Single-family house approximately 200 sqm on a 900 sqm plot

we are currently undecided about the parapet height for our windows on the upper floor.

[*]We initially planned floor-to-ceiling windows. [*]For structural reasons, this was not possible and we need at least a raw construction parapet height of 25.

I have to admit some surprise that the considerations (after all, ten months since the last post) still indicate an implementation that has not yet been completed. Against this background, if I look again at your house design, I fear that you should be urgently and emphatically advised to take independent expert construction supervision very seriously. Am I right in assuming that you are reenacting the death-defying mission of , having a design with gourmet architect house details executed by a general contractor? I interpret "structural reasons" for parapets of this minimum height as beams or as elevated lintels because of large windows / roller shutter boxes on the ground floor. If I remember correctly, the robber once "used up" a magazine with four experts :-(

The questions here were at a very early planning stage. We are actually well on schedule. In the meantime, we have completed the submission plan, then another draft plan, and now the work plan is also finished (except for the window). The excavation for the basement is just beginning. The house already standing was never planned. Yes, the implementation is being done with a GU. I don’t know what went wrong with that colleague, but I’m not really worried. The GU is a regional family business and very well known in the area. We personally know several people who have built with the GU and were very satisfied both with the process and the result afterwards. Yes, these are lintels. On the ground floor we have a 3.5 m lift-and-slide door. We had the choice between a steel column in the living room or the raised parapet height on the upper floor. We decided on the latter. Construction supervision is planned; I hope we won’t need four....
