You're carrying owls to Athens for a Rhinelander

I meant that the compositional level of this house face was already achievable with consumer planner programs dating from the pre-Pentium era, which by now should even be sold out at bargain bins.

Wrong. In the haptic process of doodling and erasing, even a half-wit will not manage to permanently suppress learning effects. A fool sustainably exposed to experience does not manage to remain one. In Dolby Surround and Technicolor, however, every "house of Nikolaus" is at least approximately ennobled to a Sims house and looks as if it only needs the final touch.

And now you are divided. That is the beauty of dialogue, that it often remains dia and rarely becomes mono, which the harmony-seeking German does not really love.

This fundamental discussion, however, does not make the house of the OP any nicer or better.

However, he himself seems to have now lost interest in the discussion here.

That may be, but in my opinion the points of criticism remain: - Wrong orientation of the upper floor - Not very attractive from the outside - Ground floor not very family-friendly One can also live with the current design, but personally I think it could be more practical/nicer with manageable effort. It may be that I perhaps overshot the mark a bit because I found that TE is very uncomprehending. Such things are of course always difficult to judge on the Internet without personal contact. Unfortunately, I have experienced all too often among acquaintances that they built great houses and received a lot of praise, and when the first child came along, everything was gone. A lot of importance was placed on shoe cabinets/shelves, but only for the parents. A stroller/Bobby car/etc. no longer fit in the entrance area. Too few storage spaces. Children's room directly next to the toilet wall, so the little one became awake at every nightly visit. I know garages that have never seen a car from the inside. Such things are plentiful and unfortunately happen again and again. Especially nowadays, when living space is expensive and everyone plans "according to needs". Of course, one may decide against advice, but then one should consciously think it through and be aware of the consequences and not run into it out of ignorance. This is exactly where I personally see the purpose of this forum.

Well, I don't really like the house as it is either, but the fundamental discussion about whether it's better to design with pencil or on the PC didn't seem very helpful here.

I think there were enough good and thought-provoking suggestions here; one could definitely make use of them. If one wants to. But if, for whatever reason, one is so satisfied with the design, then that's just how it is. As I have noted here several times: Man's will is his kingdom.

No one here has to understand that, I don't either, but if the OP is so happy with the design, then that's just how it is.
