Yes, exactly that you had already written. Of course, the current bathroom then has to be a bit bigger for the children's room. The architect will have to try her hand at it. Unfortunately, it's never that simple, because moving something on the upper floor then has an impact on the kitchen again. Somehow the rooms seem too narrow to me, but in advance, I probably just misjudge it because I can't really imagine it.

Why? Child 1 is really nice in my opinion. Ours are very similar and not at all cramped, but really good for furnishing! And yes, the impact on the ground floor is of course always there as well...

That's true, Child 1 fits, but Child 2 won't be able to do that because of the stairs unless the kitchen becomes too narrow. Well, what else is an architect for ;)

I don't have my software at hand right now, but I had an idea... Take a look, if you can recognize the sketch. :o I would rotate the house on the ground floor by 90 degrees as mentioned before and also rotate the roof. Upstairs, I would then use the dwarf gable for the dressing room so that a window can be placed there and there is space for large wardrobes... That would be my idea.

Just saw your drawing. Thanks for your idea and effort ;).. Is your drawing oriented? Like with north at the top? We have the problem that we can only place our garage on the right side of the house and unfortunately, your planned orientation doesn’t work with that. Then you couldn’t have big windows on that side because the garage would be in front. On the left side of the house is only possible if we set it 3m away from the neighbor, and that would be wasted space. Aside from the room layout, that was also our first idea to orient the rooms to the east and south.
If we rotate the roof, the problem arises that the gable faces the garden. That would be better for the windows, but a balcony on the gable side looks somehow odd, so we turned the house perpendicular to the street.

mh on the iPad the drawing looks different :) where is the entrance for you, to the right of the house where the garage is now?
