Of course it is possible. It makes very long distances from the kitchen to the dining table. That would bother me daily. Pantry under the stairs is a traditional solution - I would rather call it a food and drink cupboard.- Is the kitchen door under the stairs easy to realize? We would like to create storage space in the lower area of the stairs (e.g. as a pantry).
Draw in the dimensions of the equipment you want to install. Then you will see for yourself. Depending on the technology, it works or becomes very tight.- Is the home theater room poorly arranged for the technical requirements?
Somewhat uninspired, but it works. In that case, I would make the knee wall space accessible as storage. The shower certainly looks better on the high wall than squeezed under the roof.- Is the layout of the bathroom sensible? (We don’t want a bathtub, but a large walk-in shower (approx. 1 x 1.4 m)
Front door and guest WC interfere with each other. Otherwise it fits quite OK.- Is the position of the doors selected practicably? Are they cramped on the 1st floor, or is there generally enough space?
Have the building partner make a suggestion. If there is controlled residential ventilation, the question does not even arise. Windows are impractical up there.- Are windows in the crawl space sensible to prevent mold/reduce moisture? Or how would you solve that?
I would not like to live in this house. The "living area" is far too tight for me, the way from the kitchen to the dining area too long, I would clearly prefer an orientation of the living rooms to the south into the garden, as I prefer life between indoors and outdoors. The many small enclosed rooms combined with small window areas can quickly create a "cave-like" character, which does not match my lifestyle preference at all. Of course, tastes differ and some people prefer it a bit tight and dark.- We would be interested in what you think overall of the floor plan and which orientation on the property you prefer (and why). We have two different orientations in mind: parallel to the street and to the neighbor.
