Yes, these bases are ideal. Then with a 38 mm thick countertop, I would at least reach a working height of about 95 cm, not optimal, but already much better than my current height of about 89 cm.
This is how I plan to do it, is that possible:
1. Buy two boards, 10 cm wide and 60 cm long, and screw them onto the outside of the METOD cabinets. Drill through the topmost holes of the METOD cabinets and the attached boards, and attach the drawer rails there. Then assemble all the carcasses without doors.
2. Screw the plinth foot up to 115 mm* and attach it, set up all carcasses and fit with doors.
3. Equip a low Förvara drawer with a 10 cm high front and insert it into the niche.
4. Lay the countertop and attach the wall connection strip.
* Should I possibly screw it up to 116 or 117 mm instead, to have a bit of leeway with the drawer?
