The assembly instructions show holes in the base for the legs at the front and back. And if I could, one could saw off the dowels on the legs and simply screw them on.

So the back panel no longer sits all the way at the back, the distance to the wall is only a few millimeters, since everything was assembled together.

Legs with rails definitely only at the front, but of course for islands legs also have to be at the back. Height adjustment will be tricky with an 8 cm plinth, you might as well get your wife and kids involved.

just like with Faktum, 4 legs per base cabinet. It gets problematic to adjust the ones at the back; this then has to be done either from the side or beforehand. Possibly, the colleagues in the foreign hardware stores made it easy for themselves and left out the rear legs. The fact is, they are supposed to be installed.

The countertops for Metod are 63.5. Faktum like Metod carcass: 58 deep. Fronts: between 1.6 and 2 deep. All this plus countertop overhang: 2 cm results in about 62. Since Metod has the 1.5 cm hanging rail, you thus come to 63.5.

If this has already been recognized as a problem, then I wonder why different feet aren't used. I know of feet in a 30-year-old kitchen made of thicker and more elastic plastic, which have continuous holes in two heights that can be rotated 90°. With a screwdriver inserted through, the adjustment is a bit easier at the low base height. Over the years, it is sometimes also necessary to readjust if the floor has settled a bit.

Do you really want to stay at 8 cm only? Not without reason, there is a 21 cm high base for FAKTUM. Surely some customers will be lost if the working height is not at all variable.
As modern as Ikea likes to present itself, I would expect that such thoughts, which are certainly expressed by some employees, are passed on and taken into account.

Thanks, I actually only understood it now: Faktum and Metod carcasses are both 58cm deep. But that is the measurement WITHOUT the front, so add about 1.6-2cm again.
With Faktum that was it, resulting in a total depth of about 59.6-60cm. The Faktum countertop is 62cm deep, resulting in an overhang of about 2cm.
With Metod, 1.5cm for rail and hanging are added to the depth, resulting in 61.5cm. But the Metod countertop is 63.5cm deep, also resulting in an overhang of about 2cm.

In my case, I want to use a Faktum countertop with a Metod carcass, which results in an overhang of only 0.5cm(62-61.5), so almost no overhang. At first, I thought I would have a 2cm overhang in this case.
Only if I screw the Metod carcasses directly to the wall without the rail (if that is possible), I could save the 1.5cm in depth and then have a 2cm overhang with the Faktum countertop.
I would tend to prefer this solution most, provided that attaching the base cabinets directly to the wall without the rail is possible without much effort.
