A few years ago, with an acquaintance of mine:
At his own request, no overdraft facility, no financing or financing inquiries whatsoever, no consumer loans, no credit card. Not because he couldn't get any of those, but simply because he saw no need for it.
When he then wanted to finance a property, his Schufa score was poor because the above-mentioned aspects were not considered solid financial behavior but rather a lack of creditworthiness. "The house bank must know why they don't grant an overdraft."
I can confirm this as a bank employee. Such blocks are always bad for the score, regardless of who initiates them. Whoever has themselves blocked in this system is assumed to have had problems in the past.
