But certainly not more banks than three financial advisors... However, they already knew my key data, so my thesis that it has to do with the key data is reinforced. One question about that, do you have a KFW component in the loan? Your brother? Volksbanken are also strange. Everyone just does whatever they want there. Disclaimer: By strange I don’t mean bad. I am with Volksbank and ING myself. I find (my) Volksbank OK-good, I find ING annoying (but not because of the customer-friendly repayment options).

I have had more than 5 financial advisors in total ;)
In the end, however, the local Sparkasse and some others would not have had a problem with <2% repayment.

Yes, I do. My brother does not in this case.

Then at least one of my financial advisors lied or had no idea. Because he told me that with KfW you have to make at least 3% repayment. Almost like a hard-coded condition.

In this respect, I have to revise my statement that banks no longer do this today. But I am convinced that it depends on the framework conditions and those who do it, don’t do it with everyone...
:p

Or a misunderstanding on your part!? The KfW does indeed require at least 3% repayment for its component.

Sorry then, if there should be a misunderstanding between us here as well. Of course, I was only referring to the pure bank loan with my statement.

The former is also true, but only for the KfW portion.

Ah ok, yes of course.
Nevertheless, my statement was also that there is no repayment below 2% for "normal" mortgage loans. And indeed, that was my misunderstanding, for everyone / for me.
