January 2021... Time flies and you don't even know what year it is. But of course, I would like to move in soon :D

Correctly recognized. The difference comes from the family.

On the topic of disability insurance: A very, very controversial topic in my opinion. Statistically, every second person becomes disabled at some point in life. I know numerous cases in the private sector and at the time I also researched this area regarding court rulings etc. Under certain circumstances, you really pay into this insurance for years and when the case actually occurs, you don’t even get remotely what you expected from it. It’s an insurance you should think very, very carefully about. Of course, it always depends on the professional situation etc. Is your partner a civil servant? Then I would cancel the insurance immediately – at least never increase it beyond 30€. But yes, as I said, it’s a very controversial topic. I still consider the insurance "important," but more for personal peace of mind. The chance that you actually get the corresponding money or something like that is less than 50%.

Exactly right! You definitely have to do that – you will see that there is significantly less repayment potential in this phase (e.g., when your wife becomes a mother). However, I actually see 0.0 problems with the rate of €1,700 at your income. The question is also: can you change the repayment rate on the loans? That way, for example, while your wife is at home, you could adjust the rate to 1% and thus certainly get significantly below €1,700 – so you would have the security that even in difficult times the rate can easily be managed with one salary.
