But then landscaping, carport and ancillary building costs are already included, so they do not occur anymore. That can already be up to 150,000€ that you save there, and not the 50,000€ you mentioned. Well, it was just a suggestion after all.

So you want a detached house? That will of course be really difficult, because then you need a fairly large plot of land, which will be even more expensive. You either have to go very far away from RGB or save a lot more. Friends of ours live an hour's drive from Regensburg out in the sticks and bought a decent semi-detached house for €120,000, which was ready to move in after a few floors were replaced. But it is also an hour away and the village doesn't even have a baker. As always, everything is a question of priorities.

Haha 120,000 no one believes that. Even in rural areas, you pay significantly more and under 500,000 there is basically no chance..

So please excuse me, but that's how it is. I have known the people for years and had also seen the advertisement and I have already seen the house in person. It is in the middle of nowhere, nobody wants to go there. Why should I make that up?!

I’m just wondering where it’s supposed to be so cheap in RGB. We also live in a village with a few hundred inhabitants and no infrastructure at all, yet you can’t get a single-family house for under 500,000 euros. And a building plot normally already costs 120,000.

So either a ruin, a nuclear power plant in the garden, a river, a leasehold, or... there must be some big catch.

It is a simple semi-detached house from the 80s, about 120m2, 4 rooms, 1 bathroom and 1 WC, about 350-400 plot. Everything is a bit old-fashioned but functional, as mentioned they only did the floors, the fence and a little something in the garden, a few weeks after the purchase they moved in. That was about 4 years ago and as mentioned it is an hour away from Regensburg. By the way, this family would like to move away from there, preferably closer to Neumarkt or RGB (just anywhere with more infrastructure) but that is not at all in the budget. Not even close. But the house was bought at that price, I am definitely not making that up. I wouldn’t know why I should do that. But I am happy to ask again.
