This hillside property and the lack of space on the ground floor [EG] cry out for a basement or cellar [UG].

Why are the windows on the upper floor only 1.195m high? That is very low.
The already mentioned sofa also caught my eye, we just bought a corner sofa like that and the longest side is 3.13m and there were much bigger ones. On your plan, a three-seater is shown, but it is hardly longer than 2m, such a thing doesn’t really exist or a bigger sofa is then placed right at the living room entrance. For the coat rack, you don’t find much space under the stairs for 4 people either, that would be too little for me, and besides, the beautiful straight staircase does not come into its own so well because of that.

Best regards
Sabine

Rightsizing the garage width would let the house tighten its belt by one notch. Child 1 gets morning sun, Child 2 gets evening sun – both with unnecessarily high sills. The room proportions on the ground floor are still okay, but unfavorable on the upper floor, and the upper floor would probably be better reversed. The straight staircase is no help either. Also, in the main bathroom, the shower is at the end of the labyrinth. I see the design still far from being ready for fine-tuning.

Thank you very much for the answers and suggestions. We ourselves have tried to change a few things. We have moved the staircase. Behind it, we placed the house connection room, which is now located in the north. We moved the office from the bottom to the top. The living/dining room and the kitchen have thus become larger. From the remaining area, we made a storage room. Upstairs, we then placed the office in the north/east. The first children's room is now in the southeast, the second in the south, and the master bedroom in the southwest. However, the hallway upstairs would not be illuminated with this arrangement. Would there be a way to change this?

Just quickly:
- Why is the bedroom on the south side?
- Garage in the southwest, can’t the driveway be arranged differently, meaning further north?
- Living area with morning sun – do you come home from the night shift at 6:00 and then start the "evening program"?

Otherwise, stairs always unnecessarily eat up living space right now, but I don't have to pay for it. And check if the garage can be moved further north in accordance with the development plan to let the sun reach the house.

Frankly, I find it difficult to assess improvements in the awkward line collages. Then, at half past one in the morning, you think you have just drawn a major breakthrough, scan it the next day, and no one understands it. At the risk of repeating myself: ballpoint pen on graph paper is the presentation that is easiest for the viewer to comprehend. Is the cultural technique, the amateur tool from the analog era, already being lost?
