I don't like the door solution to the living room, the way into the house usually leads me first to the kitchen (since I shop daily, mostly after work). I would place the door towards the dining table and not to the living room, even if it's a bit tight with the stairs.

Overall, I find the hallways too narrow and tunnel-like.

We also want to change the access to the living room and dining room. A wide glass sliding door should lead to the living room and a "normal" door to the dining room.

I also find the hallways narrow. Downstairs, we want to somewhat disguise this in the entrance area and install a glass railing along the stairs, which should also make the upstairs hallway to the guest bathroom look a bit airier. The hallway upstairs leading to the bedroom should also be shortened a bit, and the last door stump should be added to the parents' area. The entrance to the parents' section should then lead into the dressing room.

Found the first draft better. Sorry, I didn’t read everything. 3 children on the lower floor maybe like this:

Actually, the matter in the last proposal would be better if the "Garagenterrasse" is omitted and the entrance is taken on the right side of the plan. Then the bathroom downstairs could have a light shaft, the basement a separate access, and the path from the entrance to the kitchen would be shorter.

Unfortunately, I did not quite understand what exactly the garage on the right side of the plan prevents.

From your layout, the garage on the left side of the plan is really better. For us, it is planned on the right, so that we save ourselves a retaining wall on the right side. Otherwise, that would probably cost quite a bit. On the left, we can simply slope it off and thus align it with the neighbor. In addition, with the garage on the left, we would simply lose garden space on the right side and, with the planned terrace, come very close to the right neighbor.

How wide is the "polygon"?
With the second suggestion, I would have some concerns that Child 2 will always get the car exhaust through the only window.
Doesn't the parking space on the left side of the house also quite separate the children from the garden? Or is there supposed to be a staircase somewhere outside?
