Exterior blinds for shading in summer

So here it was scorching hot late into the night during the last summers, it was almost unbearable.

The question regularly comes up at night,
do you jump into the pool,
and then sneak out naked

But whatever, I can see that I am alone with my opinion.

The others have already gained experience with what it is like in newly built houses nowadays in summer. I have also tried it. Ventilating continuously at night cools down by 1-2 degrees. That is no more than a drop in the ocean. But you will do it your way and find your path. It may also be that your location is helpful, e.g. forest nearby or other factors.

Can you please write how long your venetian blinds take to go up. I’m curious. Our venetian blinds take exactly 60 seconds each to go up but also down on the floor-to-ceiling doors/windows.

I was just surprised when timing it too. It always seems very quick to me, but I have never really thought about the seconds. The window fitter recommended this to us for this door back then, and we have never regretted it! Even though at first I thought it was money thrown away.

Just measured: Our blinds on the doors take 45 seconds to go completely up and down – so about 20 seconds up, 20 seconds down. I actually find that pretty slow :D
