Exterior blinds for shading in summer

I doubt that you can teach someone to sleep poorly at 28 degrees. Especially the sweating... Yuck. When you’re eventually just soaking wet but still sit on the sofa and chairs... No, thanks.

Not teach, but get used to. Because there are not only countries where people hide from the sun, but many people in this world simply don’t have that option. They are just accustomed to the heat. Look at warmer countries—people often still wear hats and thick jackets when we are already walking around in T-shirts and shorts. If you really sweat a lot during the day, you just jump into the pool, or alternatively stand under the garden shower.

Well, there are parents who show their children that the sun is bad when it shines into the house, who go into hysteria over a bee, and that rain is disgusting when you get caught in it. That behavior is gladly adopted. My parents liked to stay in the sun ;)

And there is such a thing as sudden infant death syndrome, against which a sleeping temperature of no more than 18 degrees is explicitly recommended as prophylaxis. I'll say it again gladly: Even as a sun worshiper, I don't want to have to drink like a camel indoors to regulate my fluid balance. That's biology, not upbringing.

Furthermore, it does not mean that one wants to keep the sun out when one wishes/has shading. Especially with exterior blinds/raffstores, the intention is quite the opposite. One wants to let the sun into the house but keep the heat outside. This works quite well as long as one informs oneself and applies the appropriate materials and the knowledge gained over centuries and decades.

Who is talking about sleeping when it comes to living spaces? Of course, very few people can still sleep at 25 plus degrees, but it's about the living spaces and the question of how and whether to block out incoming sunlight there. It's about the south-facing living room.
