Extension on an old building from 1965 with an additional storey

Nice thing. I like it. Spontaneously, I would put a few more windows in the extension and leave out the outside stairs. It may be that the window opening has a clear view, but the stairs will still be visible. It could also become one of those stairs that are rarely if ever used in practice. Is the budget sufficiently available?

we currently rent a single-family house where the ground floor is at the garden level on the upper floor, so the basement is at ground level (hillside location). We are very annoyed that we cannot go directly into the garden but always have to go "through the house," hence the idea with the stairs.
The budget is a good question. The goal is definitely to stay well below the cost of a new build, which hopefully can work. Ideally, it should not cost more than 200,000 euros, including expansion, etc.

You take the window from the 2 WZ. Does that work?

There definitely needs to be a window in the lower wall, above the sofa. Unfortunately, I oriented the drawing not to the north, but to the south. So the window should be on the north wall, possibly as a strip of light above the sofa. Otherwise, light also comes through the dining room.

If you don’t copy it by hand but scan it – preferably with the sections as well – the knowledgeable eye gets decidedly more substantial fodder.
