You have encouraged us to rethink things, and we have actually changed the ground floor and the entire upper floor again. We originally didn’t want to separate the bay window on the upper floor, but we just can’t find another solution. We are happy to accept more suggestions and ideas. On the upper floor, we had to give up our dressing room, which we do miss a bit, but maybe you have a solution where we could fit one in. We don’t think it’s worth removing the gallery, since our large wardrobe won’t fit there due to the slant. What do you think?

On the ground floor, we completely relocated the kitchen, which also feels very good right now. This has also given us space for a cooking island. The sofa is no longer in front of the window, and we have created a cozy TV corner with a view of the garden. A pantry and a proper cloakroom have even come out of it. What do you say?

Note: the area specifications do not quite match but give an indication.

Certainly, it can still be tuned, but I like the basic idea better than the first draft.

Sigh, nevertheless, the measurements are certainly very important when it comes to space in front of the terrace doors, the island, the dining table, and the area of the wardrobe/bedroom closet.

Food for thought: move the window above the sofa to the other side of the room (opposite the dining table)

I fear the staircase is too steep and too short. It seems to be only about 300 cm.

What is labeled as a wardrobe is not one, it is the passage to the WC.

I would use the gallery as storage space.

I would rather leave out the pantry. The door could be kept as a passage to the utility room.

Is the door opening for the guest WC large enough to get 'through' the sink, and can you still enter the room?

The living room corner is too small to properly place, for example, a sofa set. Next to it is a large "dead" space; the dining table is drawn far too small, you should furnish that realistically. The bay window is still absolutely unnecessary. Upstairs even more so than downstairs. I would use the costs for this more sensibly. The staircase on the ground floor with the utility room entrance is rather unfortunate and the utility room space minus the door is rather tight, especially if it is also intended as a storage room. The door in the WC/bathroom on the ground floor cannot be opened as is. Leave out the air space and use the space better for a laundry cupboard, for example.

So the floor plan again finds no approval. We are slowly running out of ideas. Forgetting everything for a moment, what suggestions would you have? A large living-kitchen area is important to us.
