I would do it like I said, here only risks are considered, never the opportunity. The rate will remain constant for about 20 years with a long fixed interest period. The income will still increase significantly by then....

Better [KFW 55] and then have a buffer on hand, than the surcharge for [KFW 40] and nothing in reserve.

This "smaller" increase from about 5,600 gross to 7,100 gross per month is actually a bit unusual in such a short time, but congratulations. You usually only achieve such an increase by changing jobs? 3,800 is actually more like 2,300 than 2,100 according to my calculation, but never mind.

My opinion hasn’t changed. Do it. It is now, of course, significantly more comfortable.

The increase came from another offer, the current employer followed along, so for us, of course, very comfortable since the risk that would have arisen from changing employers did not increase regarding job security.

Basically, the 3,800 € gross means more net, that is correct, but a substantial amount per month is deducted for the company pension scheme.

Mega. Congratulations!
That's why I mentioned it. €3,800 gross is actually more like €2,300 net and €2,100 is the payout amount after pension contributions. I only mentioned it in case someone comes around again and brings up the topic of pension.

Basically, I would not completely rely on the company pension scheme anyway. It has several pitfalls, including exceptions to the insurer's obligation to provide benefits. It is important to carefully examine how it is structured before investing a lot of money.

Wonderful! I’m glad and think it’s good that one doesn’t give away their human capital! Then the "bashing" also had a bit of an effect
