But you also have to consider the budget. Not everyone can afford multiple switchable sockets that lie next to each other and are always operated together, e.g. computer, monitor, scanner, and printer. In that case, a four-socket outlet is quite well suited?!

But your electric toothbrush can sometimes turn into a rechargeable toothbrush

I think you have actually made a pretty good estimate with your list. We planned far too few, therefore the tip: at least one in every corner, even if you don’t want one there now. In living room and bedroom corners always think about doubles, one for possible additional light, the other for a device. Where PC or media are located, at least 3.

Extras that one might not know about:
Switchable sockets, e.g. in the kitchen (then all small appliances are off) or living room for a floor lamp. Or in the bedroom to operate the sockets of the bedside lamps from the door and turn them off again at the bed. -> Two-way switch: common in stairways, very helpful in the bedroom.
Switchable sockets above cabinets or shelves for indirect lighting.
Twilight switch for outdoor lighting.
Outdoor cables (switchable) for garden and front yard,
- sockets on the terrace switchable from inside.

Dimmer on dining room and bathroom ceiling lights

P.S.
We have a switchable socket at the TV, switchable from the living room door. There used to be a four-way power strip connected there, and we switched all our TV gear with receiver, etc. on and off via it. But today’s TVs can’t handle that – now there is a lamp connected there that doesn’t have a switch anyway

By the way, my favorite socket is in a window recess, the window is directly behind one arm of the couch. Actually intended for Christmas decorations, there is now regularly a tray, laptop, or phone hanging there while reading/working and comfortably sitting on the couch.

Recessed sockets are certainly debatable and you have to keep in mind that the window can be opened, but the thing is brilliant.

What else would be conceivable:
Don't forget electricity outdoors, sockets should be switchable!
Socket in the garage for a possible electric car?

During the planning, we completely forgot: charging cradle for the cordless phone. There is no good place with power.

Otherwise, we have about 90 sockets on 150m² including outside.
Of those, 20 are in the kitchen, 9 above the countertop.

I could do without about 25 sockets without too much pain, if I had to.

The TV has three sockets, we currently need one of them.
LAN was cut from hallways, kitchen, bathrooms for cost reasons.

So one socket per m2 seems a bit exaggerated to me. That would be 160 sockets in our case. Where are they supposed to be paved? A good point is the e-car connection. I might even consider planning a high-voltage connection for the outdoor area.

Honestly, it's not as difficult as you think. Of course, the number will be relatively less depending on the size of the apartment/house. But just take the house plan and think about where one (or maybe a double instead of a single?) power outlet needs to go. In the house before the current apartment, with 250 sqm living space (300 sqm floor area), there were also a good 170 power outlets. Just when the wife starts considering where she needs outlets for decoration, you as a man start to feel unwell (all window recesses, entrance area, stair landings, etc.). The first 20 "decorative" outlets were already taken away.
