Regardless of the topic. "Lightweight" furniture like those from Ikea should "always" be secured. Nobody comes up with the idea to drive unbuckled in a car just because it usually goes well in case of an accident. But if something happens, the disaster is big.

That's true, maybe my comment wasn't clear enough:

We are using a not particularly expensive 3m Nolte wardrobe for that. It's enough for the two of us – we have sorted out a lot and hardly buy any replacements. It stands firm as a rock. The Pax back panel is still awaiting completion – I have probably gotten a bit lazy.

Same here. The wardrobe is located directly opposite the entrance to the bathroom. The room divider function is part of the open floor plan in our house and helps to create a cozy sleeping niche within a large room.

A dressing room can only be properly realized in larger houses or you significantly reduce the size of other rooms. We used to have a large wardrobe as a room divider in the bedroom. It is inconvenient if your partner is still sleeping and you want to get clothes... Now we have a 35m2 dressing room that can be accessed from the bedroom, bathroom, and hallway. Jackets, shoes, bags... are stored elsewhere.

35m2 is quite something.... we are just starting the planning for our new rather large house and the architect suggested 16m2 to us. I know a dressing room as 3-4m wide and x meters long, with wardrobes on both sides. What does your floor plan look like? Do you have wardrobes with doors?

Cupboards with doors, cupboards on both sides, central unit and seating option. Without doors, the clothes fade.

In this regard, we have little comfort, the sleeping area is on the open gallery in the living room. We only have two rooms, the entrance laundry room and the living-cooking-sleeping area, plus a separate bathroom and a guest WC. We don't need more. It has proven itself for 2 years now and the sleep is still good and restful.
