Yes, planning it mandatorily for every room is nonsense. Much of it results naturally, I also have quite different rules up my sleeve, but you can’t implement them fully, also because they eventually contradict each other, the rules.

In the office, where you quickly want to be done, I wouldn’t focus on it, in a small utility room rather more. In the equipment room as shown, you could also do without it. You also need a wall where you can hang quite a few things.

I don’t know what kind of puzzle pieces these are from a floor plan, WWW examples or your design... but perhaps you could swap the door to the office with the wardrobe or put the wardrobe on the WC wall... also the equipment room door and window, so that the doors line up... just post the whole floor plan in the subforum for floor plan discussions.

Thank you I will create a post about it later. We have actually already put a lot of thought into making the house practical and sensible, so I am curious about the opinions of the other users.

If anyone has comments or experiences with the doors, I am of course very happy to receive more opinions. To avoid double posts or similar, I would not post the floor plan again here. Or would that help with the understanding?

No, better do it in the subforum. You can then link the post here so that the discussion continues there.

In the example with external doors, you sneaked the chimney towards the eaves, which is not good. I would generally, but not dogmatically, allow closet spaces behind the doors for both children's rooms and otherwise.

I think that's the right approach. Best 60cm, then everything fits in later life :D At least for the children's rooms and storage rooms, 60cm would be a must for me.
