To look at it from a different perspective: A water circuit that distributes heat in the house is more flexible. You can connect solar collectors, storage tanks, water-bearing fireplaces, combined heat and power plants, electric heaters, local/district heating, or burners - or the soon-to-come fusion reactors ;-).

Just that alone is the reason for me not to go for an "air heating" system.

you're talking about a completely different system ;-)

He or she is talking about an air-to-air heat pump just like you (in your table). ;-) I had already suggested differentiating further there, but you just dismissed it. So is the distinction actually useful after all?

The thread starter is talking about a multisplit. There was never any mention of such a Proxon air-to-air heat pump!

So what now? And the OP also writes about gas + solar thermal for hot water, while you simply switched to (electric?) instantaneous water heaters. So let's summarize: the range of possible heating systems is larger than what the OP presented and also larger than what Alessandra presented as a solution. And especially with general terms like "air-to-air heat pump" you cause a lot of confusion. Which manufacturer installs VRF with cassette units in single-family houses? And what does that cost? And what COP is achieved?

Such trivialities as e.g. reality do not matter when you want to promote your own solution as the best solution in the world.
