That was really good. Yes, that really exists. That's why I think it's great that you are already taking care of it. Even if it's not a cherry laurel hedge, it's at least a privacy screen. You can get used to it if you want. In winter, no one looks very closely at your trampoline or into the lit house from outside, most people only look at their smartphones or are busy with themselves anyway.

What kind of tree population is it? In this weather, almost every tree doesn't look exactly attractive. You can build the shed somewhere else, and instead of the trampoline, count the birds and bees that are bustling around there, build something for the hedgehogs, and practice hedge trimming :) Has the planting already been carried out according to the development plan? Is this an existing property? A building gap? Or a new development area? If all that still really displeases you, then you have to keep looking. I'm curious – will you talk to the building authority next week?

It is a new development area.

What I didn’t know – my partner took photos of the "brush"... here you can see it once – and even if it doesn’t look like it in the picture, it goes 8 meters deep... on the right it looks more like "small trees" I think, on the left like brush (sorry, I’m not a botanist ;))

It’s not even clear yet if I can acquire the building land... it looks like someone could give up their reservation and then I would get information and would of course have to decide immediately... I’m also strongly inclined to go for it then.

By the way, this is also an important question to be clarified with the building authority. On the one hand, where exactly you are allowed to place it, and how big it may be. Maybe the size of the garage or carport must also be taken into account, then the garden house may turn out to be smaller than desired. If someone values privacy, the enclosure of the property is also important; one might be a bit unhappy if only an 80 cm hedge is allowed along the sidewalk.

I agree. The little trees are great, branches can be pruned back, the bushes can be trimmed, the base is at the bottom.
That looks wonderful, behind it is a field or meadow, no other houses.

When talking about depth in properties, depth is meant. I see a strip presumably along the entire length here. Or the photo shows something else. Try drawing the tree stock on the piece of rectangle (property). The trees are quite normal. You don't have to be a botanist to recognize that trees do lose leaves. Tip: go for a walk in the forest tomorrow. Take a good look at trees, even in an older residential area. I think a strip of shrubs would do you good ;) Sometimes you have to force people to their happiness... uh... planting. Hehe
