Green waste disposal site? As a smart gardener, you put it in the shredder and compost it. It creates great soil afterwards and you save on disposal.

I think a week is a bit exaggerated. But you do spend two Saturdays doing garden work if you involve the kids ;). At least that's the experience with my parents' property (~1000sqm, various trees, lots of hedge around). You just shouldn't skimp on the tools, otherwise you pay with your time.

With hedging? No. I have 1000 sqm myself and almost all around are trees and shrubs. Proper tools are there too. Two Saturdays are not enough. I prefer to take away the 4-5 trailer loads. That goes much faster.
