Do you think so? Do you say that because the other houses are rather set back a bit more?
Probably you really won't achieve anything with negotiating, reasoning, etc., and I also don't think that number 4 plays a role. And whether I gain 50 cm probably doesn't make much difference anyway.

The house will be about 11.6 * 8.5, so roughly 100 m² of built-up area.

I would like to place them in the northeast corner. I probably wouldn’t be allowed to place a carport directly on both boundaries (north and east) anyway, so I have to set it back a bit. Of course, I hope that it will be slightly less than 7 m here.

And why should that influence the building line decision?

Maybe you are right, think more positively. Maybe it’s not so bad to be 7m away from the street. There is already a large house to the west, which is significantly wider than 10 m. If I were closer to the street, my terrace would also be more in the area of the other house. So even less western sun. And on the north side (which will certainly also get a bit of east and west sun) you can surely also, as suggested, create a second terrace or even a small utility garden (which, for example, is already more difficult with a 3m-5m building line).

Do you find the positioning of the house and the distances around it okay? Clearly, as it is currently planned, you can still do something with the property on almost every side (there are no 3m strips), but of course, the "panoramic view" from the terrace over the entire property is missing, which you often have with large or elongated properties. This is probably not given with the large width of this property (23m) even with a 5m or 6m building line... so make the best of it...

Absolutely. So far from a real drama.

In the days of parliamentary group leader Herbert Wehner, the SPD Bundestag faction still sat alphabetically from front to back. To a dissatisfied member of parliament with his seating row, "Uncle Herbert" is said to have recommended: just call yourself “Dummerchen” (little dummy), then you can sit right at the front.

That is to say: it’s hard to take your "grief" over the distance to the street seriously. If in the floor plan discussion we had established that half a meter more house depth would have reordered the world, I would understand that. But we didn’t. And don’t spoil this seven meters of anticipation for the entrance with a carport. The world can be beautiful if you don’t stand in your own way. It’s your property. Be like the little prince and find it beautiful.

I recently read the paragraph including comments. If I remember correctly, the rules apply to the entire built-up area. So also for outbuildings like garages and carports. That could mean that you are not allowed to use the 7 meters for a covered parking space. Conversely, for your discussion it could be beneficial if one of your neighbors has a carport or garage closer to the street than their house...
