We bought our kitchen 2 weeks ago at Ikea in Bratislava (only 1 hour away from Vienna), with Bodbyn fronts in ivory white. Mostly everything was in stock, a few fronts we had to order and received them already 1 week later. At Ikea in Vienna the front is also not available, it has been removed from the website and there is a note that a delivery time of about 6-8 weeks is to be expected. I understand it as the different countries apparently receive a quota of fronts and apparently Bodbyn is not so popular in Slovakia and therefore available... Best regards Section Chief

We ordered our kitchen at IKEA in Ulm on 02.12, fronts in Bodbyn ivory, and except for one 20cm front everything is available and will be delivered next week Thursday (18.12.).

So there seem to be no delivery difficulties at the moment.

hello everyone

I came across this forum during the planning process and have to admit, it helped me with some problems already a huge thank you to everyone
now a question regarding the delivery difficulties. is it still that bad with the bodbyn fronts in white?
because last week on 2.2.15 we ordered our kitchen metod bodbyn ivory white. delivery of the kitchen was supposed to be on 27.2.15, the countertop on 7.3.15. so I have one week to assemble the base units, that works now I made a small measuring error with the ben fronts during planning nerves okay, off to IKEA to reorder two fronts. that was on 3.2.15. already yesterday 10.2.15 the two fronts 60x60 and 20x60 arrived according to IKEA the kitchen could already be here by 12.2.15. I postponed the date because I still have to clear some space beforehand. but in Germany some of you are already waiting over 6 months? or has that changed by now?

I’m queuing here as well.. also waiting for 4 drawer fronts and a cabinet door from Kroktorp.. the ladies at Ikea told me they couldn’t give me a delivery date, Kroktorp is being discontinued but the after-sales service will remain.. I just don’t understand why they can’t get it organized.. in NL, F, A and Switzerland the fronts are currently available for online order! I would even cover the shipping costs, but I can’t order them to Germany... If this continues like this, I’ll ask an acquaintance in Switzerland to order the fronts for me.. especially the drawer fronts are annoying, the cabinets just stand completely unused as long as I can’t assemble the drawers... Or I’ll go with the cheap replacement fronts too.. can I really just return them if they have been mounted? So far I have only returned original packaged items or defective ones...

If you don't mind, the drawers also work without fronts. I did that for a few weeks too.

Actually, in my opinion, Ikea should temporarily offer you, for example, HÄGGEBY fronts on their own. If KROKTORP is still being offered normally, even though parts are unavailable for an indefinite time, it is worth considering whether you might prefer to replace all of them with HITTARP as soon as they are sold (provided you like them). As far as I know, the fronts are more expensive in the after-sales service. Each country receives a certain quota and in Germany, people buy KROKTORP and BODBYN like crazy.
