Hello,
Those are merely rated power specifications! You have to relate the energy expenditure to the achieved air quality.
A typical general contractor trick. They want to steer you onto the GC’s own path, not yours. This difference is about the amount that a central controlled residential ventilation system for a single-family house would cost.
I would have doubts about whether just looking at it helps.

Best regards

Correct, rated power specifications are also what the manufacturers of the central solution specify. With a central solution, the air also has to be pushed through all the pipes, which also costs a considerable amount of energy. That’s why I have been wondering whether the decentralized solution is really at a disadvantage regarding power consumption...

That’s completely clear to me; many entrepreneurs try similar things. I am in the second tendering round; from the first attempt, no entrepreneur remained with whom I found common ground. I will look at him today to clarify a doubt I have, namely the noise level.

Regarding the discussion about the air exchange rate, only one question arises for me. Does it sufficiently fulfill its purpose, or does it not? I do not want to operate a ventilation system as an end in itself. It should simply ventilate my house and, if possible, handle energy somewhat carefully. The problem is simply that there are so few independent tests/experience reports available. Experience reports generally always praise whatever one currently uses/has purchased. But that is the case with everything...

More likely "bleed"
Correct, what expectations do you have of "biased" people of any kind?

Hi!

I took a look (listened) to those things. From a technical perspective, I DON'T think they are bad and they certainly have advantages. However, they are out for me now because I simply don't like the acoustics. Therefore, I will probably bite the bullet and spend more money.

Hello Nikolaus, a well-planned (according to Wohnraumlüftungs- DIN 1946-6) decentralized ventilation with heat recovery is in any case a good alternative to a central ventilation system. The devices are very easy to clean individually. 100% hygiene safety! Bathrooms should have exhaust air controlled by humidity, likewise the kitchen should have exhaust air (no exhaust hood - produces too much airflow - risk of negative pressure and not energy efficient - heat losses). An exhaust fan with 80 m³/h capacity combined with a good recirculation hood is the best solution here. The power consumption of these systems is very low, power consumption approx. 1 - max. 4 watts/device usually at 12 volts. Filter replacement twice a year, more often with higher load. Costs approx. 2 € per filter! Cleaning of the device once a year before the heating season. Regards HIGIL

Good day,

I was made aware of a decentralized residential ventilation system by an acquaintance. It is the "Ambientika" from the company Südwind.

Has anyone had any experience with it?

Thank you very much for your answers

best regards
