Hello,

I would also be interested in this GEGEN. Obviously, the central solution is the "more perfect" solution, but also the more expensive and complex one.

For me, the decentralized solution offers the advantages that I can install the fans myself. I can specifically choose rooms that should/must be ventilated. Retrofitting in existing houses is also easily possible. Because of all these points, a decentralized solution is usually cheaper. Therefore, I think if the budget is not large enough or if one wants to retrofit to minimize the risk of mold, decentralized residential ventilation is definitely an option.

Yes, because it is not very effective! On the other hand, misunderstood. In a single-family house with e.g. EW, this decentralized ventilation definitely makes sense. As always, it depends on the specific conditions. Your question is completely pointless. You have made your decision, paid, and now must live with the result. How does it help you that a centralized controlled residential ventilation would be better overall? - Absolutely nothing! You should have informed yourself before!
Best regards.

Valuable things don’t come for free. "Cheap" usually only helps "cheap" people, which they usually realize after some time, but then a change is hardly possible. You then have to live with the compromise!
With sufficient planning/dimensioning, you can also apply enough "effort" with central controlled residential ventilation to keep costs within limits. However, the entire building concept has a significant influence on the overall effort here.
Side walls, gaps in wooden beam ceilings (bottom chords, e.g. in studio trusses) offer potentials that others can only dream of in the balance

best regards

Hello Nikolaus,

if you consistently think through this statement, then it means that you would also do without a kitchen, because mold, fungi and bacteria also accumulate there -> to prove this, you only need to look at the restaurant-testing Rach

If I don’t clean my kitchen, then I have to live with the consequences – if I don’t properly maintain my ventilation system, then I also have to live with the consequences there...

Hmm, a controlled residential ventilation system is not a heat generator...
But a controlled residential ventilation system gives me the assurance that no mold forms in my walls!
I prefer to clean my system regularly and thus protect myself from mold in the pipes *and* in my entire house.
However, if I were already assuming now that I wouldn’t even keep my system clean...

But that is just my very personal opinion on the topic of (de-)centralized controlled residential ventilation

Regards
Micha

Is it really? If so, why? As far as I know, there are also decentralized ones that are coupled via a controller?

Thank you very much. I can understand that there are disadvantages in terms of airflow, but the energy consumption doesn't necessarily increase. When I look at the products of a Berlin manufacturer, they have a very low power consumption. I am currently considering what options are suitable for me. In a current offer from a house builder I have, the price difference is 6000 euros between centralized with heat recovery and decentralized with heat recovery due to a nice side effect. That definitely makes you think. Tomorrow I definitely have the opportunity to take a look at such a decentralized device to get an idea of it...
