I would not build a bungalow, as I have never seen a sensible floor plan >150sqm as a bungalow. But that was not the point. A two-story house has more usable living space with the same footprint.

I believe you immediately. However, we will certainly differ in our opinions about the reason for that.

And apparently everyone has decided on the classic city villa. If I am going to spend a lot of money on a house, I don't want to live like that.

I would never have built like that. I wanted a house so that I also have a garden. And my peace. But in a flat I have more peace than on those towels. Around the corner from us there's also an area (but with strict design regulations), where you can look through one house from the street into the kitchen of the one behind it. Because they are also built so close together. For such tightness I don't need a house... creepy.

We were also lucky with our 460sqm in the new development area, most plots around here are much smaller - although I would have liked to have more but for that I would have had to marry rich.

You will be surprised, but apparently you have that.

Most of the plots in the last picture with the many houses are exactly 450sqm in size,

And we already consider our almost 600 as a minimum. That also has a lot to do with getting used to it. Only, this development area in the photos would have benefited from a development plan and a floor space index of 0.3 at most. Because here, less would be more. Karsten
